I thought today I would share a little "flashback" picture. On July 5th I had my surgery to correct my condition. As a young pup of six weeks of age surgery was exhausting but I sure do heal fast.
Here's a picture of me resting at my foster home right after I was released from the hospital. My foster mom says I love to sleep in weird positions but I think they look just fine.
I know that my haircut from surgery looks a little funny, but hey, at least it was summer friendly! Plus, the other dogs who live in my foster home told me that I could use that pathetic puppy look to my advantage. Here I am spending some time outside. My foster mom says that I love her plants more than she'd like me too. I thought that I would help her a bit with her pruning but I guess she didn't see it that way. I'm on a restricted diet since I can't quite eat kibble yet, so I spend my time trying to supplement with lightening bugs, ants, or whatever else crawls by.
The other AWESOME thing about my foster home is that I live with other Retrievers. This means that I have friends to play with and my family knows that a young dog like me needs lots of toys to play with to keep me out of trouble. I'm not really sure what "trouble" means, but I do hear it often enough.
Finally, here is another picture of me resting under the rocking chair. I play hard but I need lots of beauty rest if I'm going to grow up big and strong and find my loving home.
I know that there are other animals out there that need a Second Chance, just like the one I got. I hope that you will consider helping out the Second Chance Fund so that they can continue to save lives. You can get more information back at their website www.thesecondchancefund.org
